my crazy week

It's been a while since I've blogged. Last week was crazy busy. I was sick, as I mentioned, and my family came to visit. It was so fun having them here, just not the best timing. I had my final on Tuesday, so I was preparing for that, driving up to North Seattle every day for class, and working on my final project...Wendel and I were asked to speak in our ward on Sunday, so we were preparing our talks, and to complicate things, the project Scrapbook Trends wanted was a little book I made for my friend and when I sent it to her, it got lost in the mail, (or so I thought, but I couldn't get a hold of her even if she had received it), so I had to make the project over again from scratch and then overnight it to them. Yeah, I was a little stressed. But now my Stats class is over and I am relaxing. It's so nice! Yesterday I did a little scrapbooking. I made this layout:

My scanner cut the edges off a little, but you get the idea. Not my favorite layout, but it was fun to sit down and create something (especially since I wasn't under time constraints to get it done).

While my family (and my brother's girlfriend) were in town, we did some stuff with them, but most of the time we just gave them one of our cars and they did their own thing (since Wendel was at work and I was doing something stressful). But the things we did get to join them for were fun. My brother and his girlfriend got here a few days before my mom and sister did, so we took them to Anthony's (it is becoming our favorite place these days). Neither of them had ever tried Salmon and didn't think they were seafood people, and we knew Anthony's would prove them wrong. Sure enough, they really liked the Salmon.

Another fun thing we did with them was go to Kerry Park. It had this amazing view of Elliot Bay and the city. It really was breathtaking.

I love that last picture of me with my siblings, just being silly. Doing the "moo."
(Don't ask).

Well, I am off to work on our bedroom...we still have a lot to do before we feel completely "moved in."

It makes me miss Seattle all over again! I lived about two blocks north of Kerry park in the Queen Vista on Queen Anne Ave.! I hope you get to feeling better soon.
