This is the perfect time of year to look beyond ourselves and brighten the lives of others. My friend Julie is a Mary Kay consultant and she is doing something pretty awesome that I wanted to let you all know about. She is doing an "Adopt a Grandparent" program for Christmas. Basically, you donate $20 and she will create a gift basket to distribute to an elderly person at a nursing home from you. Think of how this will brighten their day! I think it's a great idea. If you have an extra $20 to spare, consider doing this. (Unfortunately, the deadline is December 13th...let me know if you want to participate by then.)
