i've been keeping a secret...

and I'm glad I can finally share it with you! I am pregnant! I am 12 weeks, due March 13th. We are really excited. We got to hear the heartbeat on Wednesday and that was amazing. So far I haven't been sick (please don't hate me, those of you reading who have rough pregnancies). I have been incredibly tired, though, and I get headaches frequently. Working full time, I am especially tired. I am pretty much useless when I come home from work and often go to bed around 9:30 (which, if you know me well, you know is not like me at all). I hear you have more energy in the second trimester so I'm holding onto that hope.

For those of you who are wondering, yes, I'm going to try to go to grad school and have a baby at the same time. It will be crazy. We'll see how it goes.

So that is our happy news. We couldn't be happier about it. (Heather and Katie, I'm glad I'll be in good company. How fun!)

Here is a picture of me at 12 weeks:

Maybe I will get back to more regular blogging if the tiredness really wears off like I've been told it will. No promises though.

I'm so happy for you!!!!! You have no idea! You and me have been the lone rangers for so long (being the only ones without kids or being pregnant) and now I feel like a little piece of me is pregnant too haha jk but really, I'm so happy for you guys! =) Oh and I'd be happy to babysit for you anytime when the baby comes. ;)

Yaaaaaaaaay! Congratulations!!! You will be fine doing grad school, especially since it's mostly at night and only for 18 months. You guys will be great parents. I'm so happy for you.

Yippeeeee!!! That makes me SO excited for you! You have the cutest little belly! I never had awful morning sickness with anyone but Evan so I don't hate you! ;o) Although, I was in school with Aidan (I mean, while pregnant with Aidan) and keeping busy and constantly moving helped somehow, I think. Although, it made me SOOO tired. Anyway, so congrats and good luck!

Congratulations to you both! I'm always glad to hear of someone who isn't deathly sick during pregnancy--I wouldn't wish that on anyone! I understand that getting dehydrated can cause headaches so you might try drinking a little more water to help that department. Good luck with everything.

Yeah! We are so happy for you and Wendel. I am glad you aren't sick..I didn't have morning sickness either with triplets. I came out of my pregnancy liking things I didn't before like avocados and my hair now has a permanent wave. It is crazy what all those hormones can do. Keep us in the loop with how you are doing.

Congratulations! I'm interested to hear how pregnancy mixes with grad school - I expect Sam and I will experience the same thing at some point in the next few years...

Ash, I'm so excited for you! That's amazing news. I was teaching when I was pregnant the 1st time and I would come home and lie on the couch for at least three hours everyday. Then I'd go to bed at 9:30. I also get the headaches in my 1st trimester every time. I know you don't like soda, but my Dr. told me to take tylenol with a Coke as soon as I felt a headache coming. It totally worked. Anyway, enough war stories. Seriously, I am so happy. CONGRATULATIONS!
