seriously?

This is my "I went to the dentist today and he gave me bad news" face. As it turns out, I have FIVE cavities. I brush and floss religiously so I was not happy with this news. I think my teeth are just cavity-prone. That's what I've decided.

Okay, what I am going to share with you next is not easy to share. It takes courage. But I am all about keeping it real, my friends. And for that reason, I am going to show you what I did yesterday. Let's start with the before pictures. (Brace yourselves.)

Yeah. Pretty bad. I'm afraid things like our closet are not at the top of my propriety list while I'm in school. But this week I don't have anything due so I decided to tackle this project. (And yes, you did see some moving boxes in there. And yes, we did move here over a year ago.) Also, I made the pictures small on purpose. I may be keeping it real, but there are varying degrees of said realness.

Luckily I had Squeak to keep me entertained during this project. As soon as I hung this organizer up, he ran and jumped into it.

And now for the after pictures.

Do you know how happy I am that this is done? I walked in our closet at least three times last night just to stand in there and smile. Horray for clean closets.

Also, I really don't think I would have taken the time to do this without these motivating posts here, here, and here. I love Tara's idea of OPAM (one project a month). I have the best of intentions to follow her in this endeavor...considering that Summer is around the corner, I might actually do it.

Too funny! I laughed so loud my coworkers had to see if I was ok! Not that they were bad, but your face, kitty and the closet were too cute! Congrats on accomplishing the closet. If I took a pic. of my room, you would feel so much better =0) seriously, I have my bathroom, kitchen, scrapbook, bedroom all in one little room that I rent in...at least the toilet and shower are in another room =0) HA! I clean it, and then do laundry and I am back at square one again!?! You'll have to do another OPAM again and inspire me

Looks awesome. Congratulations. I love getting rooms organized. In fact, I'm envious. My closets won't be looking so good anytime soon . . .

Oh, and sorry about the cavities. Maybe the dentist will have some fun movies you can watch while he works. :-)

I'm jealous of your walk-in closet. Great organization. And sorry about your cavities. That really stinks :-(

I too am jealous of the closet, before OR after. About the teeth, a few years back when we graduated BYU and got real insurance that included dental I went to a dentist who told me I needed 10 fillings! I didn't get it done because our insurance wasn't THAT good so I was saving up, but then we ended up moving. Turns out, the dentist was smoking something and I've only had 1 filling since. I love my new dentist (not to say that yours doesn't know what he's talking about, but 10 fillings freaked me out).

Ooo...the closet looks great. I hate to do projects like that but I LOVE them when they are done! I do the same thing and look at it consistently for a day or two.

AAAAHHHH, that looks great! You've inspired me to tear through my closet this week! I'm going to check out Tara's monthly project thing, too :)

I love the OPAM idea, too. Then I don't feel so overwhelmed with all of the projects I want to get done. Your closet looks so beautiful! I have many closets that need that kind of love, too.

How about I pay you to come out to AZ and organize all our closets and cupboards? It looks great! And I can totally feel for you with the dentist...I guess that's why I never go :)

I followed your link from Tara's blog. Your closet looks great!! I sooooo wish that I had at least one closet that size. Being in a 50's house, I got the 50's sized closets. So small!
I too have sucky teeth. It frustrates me! I brush, floss and say a little prayer but still no luck. I think I get cavities thinking about it! My hubby? He doesn't do half of what I do and he has NONE!! Whatever....
