So there is this site, effer dares. Every month they issue a challenge and invite anyone to play along. They choose one winning layout, and that person gets tons of scrapbooking stuff, sponsored by different companies. The challenge for this month was to create a layout with an email or about an email. Here is my layout: Love Notes. And I won! I'm really shocked because I've never entered anything for an effer dare before. Check out the goodies! Thanks for letting me share my excitement!
In other news, I've started volunteering at LDS Family Services, which is an adoption and counseling office. I worked at the Mesa, Arizona agency for two years and really enjoyed my time there. Since I want to be an adoption caseworker and I'm (hopefully - still haven't heard back from the program, by the way) going to school to be a social worker, this is right up my alley. I am assisting the caseworker who works with birth parents who are placing their children with adoptive couples, and I'm also helping a little with the adoption side of things. It's actually keeping me quite busy, but it's good.
My brother came over and watched LOST with us last night. It was pretty intense. That show drives me crazy with all of the mystery and unanswered questions but I can't stop watching it. It was fun to hang out with Ty.
And now I need to stop procrastinating doing my homework. Sociology is calling my name...

Also, congrats on working in the adoption field. As a three-time adoptive parent, people with a passion for adoption warm my heart. Thank you!
