my first sewing project
I have so much to write about but for now I just wanted to stop in to share pictures of this blanket I made. This is a huge accomplishment for me because I do not sew. This is really the first thing I have ever sewn (other than a straight line on a piece of paper). My friend Shelly helped me make it this past Summer. Lucky for me, she was very patient and helped me fix my mistakes. I am excited to cozy up on the couch with this and watch a Christmas movie. Sounds perfect.

Amazing! I cannot even imagine undertaking that kind of project right now. I'm still figuring out how to understand patterns. Yay for you!

It looks awesome! The one fabric (is it poppies?) is what my sister made me an apron out of and I LOVE it! I also am not a sewer (beyond straight lines) and it looks like you did a great job!

You are so talented at so many things. The blanket looks way cute. I like the colors. Cuddling in a blanket watching a movie sounds wonderful. (with a cup of hot cocoa).
girlie! i found the fabric... right after you emailed me. and now i just posted it on my blog. its the ONLY thing i want for christmas. a quilt. i love the close up pictures. and i am still deciding to do it as a rag quilt or a quilted quilt...yes, i know christmas is in a week. i will email you a pic soon. {i am keeping my fingers crossed}
