The Puyallup Fair
We went with some friends to the Puyallup Fair on Saturday for our friend Tyler's birthday. I think Dub and I expected a little county fair with a few animals. This fair was nothing of the sort. It was so huge! We didn't even cover all of it and we were there for about eight hours. We went on rides (Crystal and I thought we were going to die on the white roller coaster because it stopped part way up the track so they could do a "safety check"), saw exhibits (hobby hall was pretty cool), lots of animals, a hypnotist show, I experienced my first funnel cake (yum), Dub had his first "Krusty Pup" (and I'm sure it won't be his last), and one of my favorite things - Dub and I finally got booth pictures taken. Something we've been wanting to do since we started dating.
We didn't take our camera but here are a couple of pictures that Crystal took:
Crystal, Shannon, and I resting our feet.
Dub feeding a cow.
The reality of summer coming to an end is hitting me. School starts in a week for me and there is a definite chill in the air. I went to a required writing seminar for my program yesterday and I have a long orientation on Thursday. I'm a little sad to see summer go.
